Kumiko Ide focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, and design patent matters. Kumiko successfully counsels clients on the development of branding strategies, and works closely with clients in clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of trademarks before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Kumiko also has experience in U.S. Customs and Border Protection matters, to prevent importation of counterfeit, infringing, or gray market goods. Further, Kumiko protects creative works by securing copyright registrations and negotiating licenses.
Kumiko is also experienced in prosecuting design patent matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, helping clients protect their unique product designs.
